NEW QB IN TOWN

This just in...

Josh Johnson is the new starting qb... At least for this week.

...Followed by Josh Freeman... where Byron Leftwich will now be the #3 QB

...THANK GOD!!!

Not saying that Josh Johnson will be our savior, but he brings another aspect to the table which will hopefully help the offense open up more... It'll be nice to see what the once ruled out QB has to offer us. A good change I feel, anyone else excited?!

Excited, NO...

But at least now we have a chance to see if he is what many seems to believe he is or whether he is another stumbling block to get past!

Absolutely

It will be nice to see a QB in the pocket that can actually move if he needs to for a change. Case in point: Compare the Leftwich scramble in the first half where it seemed like it took seconds for him to gain a yard, to the 4th quarter scramble by Johnson where he gained 15 yards in the blink of an eye. I mean, come on, I know QB’s shouldn’t have to scramble, but if they do (like ours do right now due to the inconsistencies of our line) then how about they actually get somewhere?

I’m excited about Johnson. He did outplay everyone in the preseason so he deserves this shot. I hope he lights it up on Sunday.

Me too

Josh Johnson has a cannon for an arm, the only problem is the receivers going to be surprised how quick the ball will get to them. time for them to step up. Great move at the right time, the staff understands now that shake-ups need to be made. Bravo!

I actually

don’t hate this move. I was a Lefty advocate, not that I now hate hime or anything, and I do actually find it odd that 1 bad (all be it HORRIBLE) game justified a ruthless 1 to 3 drop. That being said, I don’t hate this move. I was never had the JJ man crush like many of you do, but I am interested in seeing what he can do. Please don’t refer to the preseason as if it proved anything, he played against people who for the most part were cut or placed at the bottom of the depth chart.

Don’t get me wrong, other than his endzone breakdown I liked what he did in the game. However, you must keep in mind the Giants practiced all week for Lefty and lets face it played against him all game, JJ was pretty much a major shock (to the Giants D) when in. That being said, I think he could give the Bucs a much needed spark if he can make some things happen.

I am excited to see what he can do against First Team competition.

Even the Giants had replaced many starters.

Ditto on that.

If I had been coach or had a vote, he (JJ) would’ve gotten my vote before camp. Plus, I would’ve given him a shot IN camp. Just my opinion. I haven’t seen him against a first string defense with a week to prepare.

Yes,

I am definitely somewhat excited to see what he can do. I also agree he did not get a fair shake. I am still not sure I am sold on JJ but I think it will be fun to watch this week.
