Video of the Day
Since there are about 7 days this month in which there are no 'On This Day' games played, and all of them in August when there are preseason games of which not too many exist on Tape; in their place will be a video of the day clip.
Today's clip is all about finishing; Raheem's message to the team. Finishing the play. Here is what happens when you finish the play and don't quit, Something Dwight Smith knew all about, and a scene you may remember from a 2004 shootout in Raymond James between the Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

So what do you think about Dwight Smith?
Whats your favorite Dwight Smith memory?
Were you happy he left?

Good clip
Favorite memory? Super Bowl. He was just as deserving as DJ for the MVP, just got his 2nd pick too late in the game.
I didn’t particularly want him to leave. He had some legal issues (abuse or assault if I recall correctly), but as a nickelback he was fantastic.

.
Dwight Smith was the man. He hit hard and had that certain swagger and intensity that we seem to have lost over the years.

Elbert Mack
seems to have the inside bid here. Torrie Cox and EJ Biggers are in the mix also.

That is a great example of the saying," It’s not over until the whistle blows!"

I personally agreed with John Madden, that Simeon Rice was the MVP of the superbowl....
but thats another topic all together!
And glad everyone liked it. Get used to it…youll have one every day to look at right here! and you can go to the vimeo.com site and check out any ones you missed.
I think the downfall of Dwight Smith as a Buc was when they made him a safety instead of a corner. Traditionally, a corner gets paid more money than safety. He felt either the Bucs were trying to low ball him by putting him at safety, or at the very best, they were screwing him without realizing it by not making him a corner. As soon as he he hit free agency, he was gone.
There is no doubt he was a player though! I think we will all give him his due on that.
