Im back and NEED a breakdown

Okay so as we all know last night was the seasons kickoff and unfortunatly we lost. lucky for us it dosent really count. Even on the losing ends there were things to be optimistic about. "Stylez" G White was on a rampage against tennessees starters last night it seemed as if every play for the first part of the first quarter he wanted to get the the opposing teams ball carrier more than anyone else on our defense. that being said our defense looked surprisingly nasty getting after tennessees 1st team offense.

im trying to go in order here so im trying to remember what else happened that was good or bad in the 1st. Sabby looked very comfortable starting at saftey for Phillips as he moved down to Will LB where he did better than i had anticipated.

Our nasty young offensive line was not lookin so hot last night. it seemed as everytime we ran the ball or did a play action our runningbacks or QBs were getting trampled in the backfield. that is unless your name is Clifton Smith, I was really impressed with Smith and the way he ran the ball. He was making great upfield cuts and was hitting where he needed to go quickly. Our little undrafted special teams miricale out of Fresno State is becomeing a good option for a speed running back if caddy cant fill those shoes.

Moving on Geno Hayes and Quincy Black looked sharp at LB once they both got there chances to get on the field. All of our QBs seemed to get the job done fairly well our first round mistake..... i mean pick was looking about average ill just say hes no Matt Ryan at this point with making mistakes like the interception for a TD against a third team defense they were facing at that point.

Although Luke McCown threw the ball 8 times in the short period he was in for QB Byron Leftwhich had the advantage because of how long he was in the game (from about midway threw the first to midway threw the third) throwing for a single TD pass but only completing somthing like 4 of 12 passes, not good.

My boy Josh Johnson if you know anything about me its that i love Josh Johnson and would love to see nothing more than him starting in a Bucs uni. However, chances for him look bleak, even with as fantastic as he looked last night, he completed all his passes except like 2 so he was like 4 for 6 i think and he took off for a 43 yard TD run.

With Morris saying hes only gonna carry three QBs and with Morris having preety much no choice but to keep Leftwhich, McCown and Freeman up what happens to the likes of JJ again this year? another year on the practice squad when he should be fighting for the starting position? UNDERATED okay enough abought Johnson.

Dante Nicholson had the blown pass of the night leaving Kenny Britt about 20 yards of free real estate to score easily which would eventually put the game out of reach for us.

Huggins our unknown running back in a stable full or fairly household names isnt likely to make the team but got probably 15 carrys last night and looked real good (keeping in mind he looked good against the third stringers, but good none the less). anyways these were all the things that stood out to me about last nights game lemme know what you think i have missed bein on here and im glad im back :]

I'll be honest, that is hard to read...

just Friendly advice, Break it up in paragraphs so it is easier for the readers.

The o-line worries me. Luke was pressured way to much to quickly during the time the 1st were in. I think he did well for what he was having to deal with.

I can’t see how Leftwich is even considered. His 1st pass was slow and deflected and almost intercepted. The TD throw was late and behind the receiver. SEVERAL times I noticed that his arm was behind him in his throw with a defender close enough to strip it from him if that defender was well trained like the 1st string should be. He stood in the pocket and took 2 hits that visably hurt him. I see him as a HUGE Risk!

Freeman did well though showing he is a rookie and learning.

Johnson did well but he was against the worst of their defense.

Many of the incomplete passes for Luke and Byron were catchable and mainly on the receivers. Stovall and Hankton really struggled, Clark and Carter did ok, Dexter Jackson got hurt, Kelly Campbell didn’t play (or I did not see him) and Mario didn’t see hardly any passes.

The 3 TE sure looked promising and each helped some.

Earnest struggled, No Cadillac, But Ward, Smith and Huggins looked good.

BUT MY, MY, MY…….. Did that Defense show some potiential

I would agree about the o-line they looked horrible. Graham seemed to have one heck of a time. maybe it was just him bc ward seemed to do alrite.

WTF is up with our ball security. Everyone was losing the ball. Hopefull all of that will be worked out over the next couple of weeks

I must say our receivers arent as good as i thought they would be. I would love to see Mario get some more passes. He is like 6-6 i know height isnt everything but come on. I honestly think Sammie did pretty desent though.

I loved the defense. Man they were extremely fast. I had no idea they would be that good. I was thinking at this point they would probaly play like Ganies Adams. Come to play to a desent extent but disappear to often. The only things i didnt like were Tenn. RBs getting the better of us a little in the 2nd half and that horrible play that Nicholson let happen way behind him.
