Josh Freeman (officially) signs contract - Welcome to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After about 24 hours of the initial report, Josh Freeman has agreed to a contract that officially makes him a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. News first started swirling on Thursday, July 30th, that he had signed, and while all indications were he'd be under contract soon, it took an additional day to hammer out the details.
The contract is a 5 year deal $36 million dollar deal that includes $10.245 million in guaranteed money. ESPN first reported the deal.
By getting the contract done, Freeman is guaranteed to be in training camp on time. This keeps alive a trend that Gruden and Allen started by getting all picks signed before camp, meaning no holdouts.
Will have more thoughts on this story as the day continues. Welcome to the Bucs Josh.

You know
This isn’t that bad of a contract. I mean He sits on the bench his rookie year and learns the system (as everyone else learns by doing) and just matures. The next season hopefully (if he develops) We have a franchise QB for the next 4 years and we are in for 35 mill. That’s not bad at all.
