Why Vick would be perfect in a Tampa jersey

Before you read further..tilt your head back and day dream..Michael Vick under center in a two tight end set with powerful Earnest Graham behind him and Clayton and Bryant lined up on same side..HIKE ..fake the handoff and rolling left breaking a Saints corner ankle and picking up numerous yards..Wake up eventhough i dont think the Bucs and their ever so large salary cap are going to make an attempt to land Michael Vick..Doesnt it make sense.  If you can get past the downright nasty thing he did and concentrate on football only it makes good sense.  This offense under new coordinator wants to run the ball behind our blue chip offensive line use the tight end frequently and go deep on the play action.  Well who could be good at that..  I know no one has seen him on the field in two years but before Vick left he rushed for over a 1000 yards..since his absence the highest qb total in rushing is Garrard from the jags with less than 600.  He would boost up attendance and triple publicity on the Bucs ..now some may be bad publicity but all publicity is good publicity. What could it hurt to give him a two year contract and let him compete against Mcnown and whoever else .. If he performs better give him job till freeman is ready to play..and think if Vick shines he could be trade piece later down the road..and think of the fox game of the week when atlanta plays tampa..twice..

If he wasn't a baller...

That no good 925’er would still be in jail. He shouldn’t be allowed to play period. If you are a law breaking sadist, you shouldn’t have the privilege of playing in the NFL. Thanks to Pacman, a man is paralyzed. Thanks to Stallworth, a man is dead, and for what? To show kids and colleagues that the ultimate price is 1-2 yrs. in minimum security prison and a position with a team upon release is feasible? I respect your opinion from a fan’s perspective, but Vick’s return to the NFL should not be advocated. Think about it, if it were you and I that commited those crimes, do you think it would be just spring, summer, fall and winter?

I don't see any reason to add him

First, look here. Second, he would take up a roster spot when we already have 4 QB’s. So we’d cut Josh Johnson, who is in the same mold as Vick and either Byron or McCown to sign Vick? Please.

Morris and Dominik have spoken. The future is Freeman for better or worse, why add an aging QB that can’t be a backup and has no business tutoring the young guys

Vick is trash

I love how in your example, you have him running the ball instead of throwing it, which is what QB’s are supposed to do. Vick was fun to watch, but a head-ach when he was forced to throw, i’d rather starts JJ than even think about having Vick on our team. Plus he is a convicted felon, you really want a convicted felon on our team? I

What I assume is.....

Those people just don’t like any of the QBs that are on the roster now and they are thinking of Vick as he once was and not how he likely is now. One would have to admit that the choices doesn’t necessarily excite or blow you away or the guy who did would be the starter. Their is a reason that they can not tell which guy is the best one. None have really made a name for themselves and the other just gets passed around because well I guess he is the best of the worst. Confused about that one to be honest.

Personally, I think McCown is the better of the choices based on his completion streaks in a few of the games that he started!

bucabing is back!

and to tell all my buc brothers that i feel everyone needs a chance at redemption and being forgivin! 70*7! as for vick in general he is a good qb he was then and hopefully hel be even better now. i believe we should take him as an alternitive to that bust that grudden took j.j.!. i think leftwich, mcown, vick, and next years starter j.f. will be a powerful combo. and i believe leftwich will be starting for the bucs. in any event we probably wont get vick anyway.

Vick wasnt a good QB when he played before...

What makes you think hes going to be anything now?

It would seem no one wants him on their team, which is ashame for the reason.

Vick cant throw?

i’m sick and tired of people who don’t know the game saying Vick cant throw…I guess no one remeber’s Vick throwing for over 300 yrds on the bucs that had the #5 def..check your stats..what the hell has Luke done ? everybody wants him to be the quarterback..yeah right ..2 yrs in the slammer 2 mnths off practice and Vicks still better than what we have for a QB….everyone knows that when Vick played against Tampa everyone time he rolled out all Buc fans held our breathe hoping he didnt go the distance…can you imagine that for the bucs now….Buc fan since 95

Vick has a career passer rating under 80

a career completion percentage under 55%. He had Roddy White, who with Vick was about a 700 yard guy. Vick leaves and all the sudden White becomes a 1400 yard guy. It’s not coincidence.

Sure he threw for 300 yards. Guess what? Billy Volek threw for 400 yards. Griese has thrown for 300 yards. I want a consistent passer who is accurate and can distribute the ball as my QB, not someone who can’t hit a tight end from 10 yards away.

Add him...

Garcia…right! But better. If your an athlete, you never stop competing…you always want better, more and to prove the nay sayers wrong. AND if you locked up that is all you think
about. It’s not like we have any real QBs anyway, and our WR’s ain’t that much better. So
he would do like he naturally does, because the only offensive players catching balls are
the TE’s and RB’s anyway. And, yes I hated everytime we played him and held my breath.
But like Atlanta we don’t have any real talent to throw to. All the plays made last year was because of Garcia or Graham. Plus, out of all the player that have had run-ins…this is
the one guy that you give a second chance. What is did was really, really bad, but in time
he will give back and he will change. Not only that, all this will go away, because he will
make you believe. I am a former athlete that had everything and anything given to me…
It all goes to your head, and you think your on top of the world…But in the end it catches up with…But you do change. If you been there even for alittle while, you don’t ever want to
go back. Vick is not the kind of person to make the same mistake twice.
