I go to the NFL page on www.espn.com and in the upper right hand box i see (as the last bullet point) Rumors: Plax to bucs.....

Can someone help me out here!!! Though i would love an offense with, Plax and Bryant down the sidelines with K2 running across the middle, with the option of dumping it off to Derrick Ward (damn those are some big names we have in tampa!) I am a little confused with a few things 1) how does Bryant feel about being a number 2 WR? He had such a great year last year being the number 1 guy and with K2 and Ward/Graham running the ball i already see us having a tough time getting him the ball 2) Do we really want to sign Plex if he really is dumb enough to shoot himself in the leg, then lie about it saying that he got shot at applebees? (come on applebees?); 3) who ever is an insider please give me an idea of what that article says!!! Though i love what Plex brings to the table, I'm not so sure if i love what be brings to the club (or applebees....still can't wrap my head around that one.....you make millions of dollars and you say you where at applebees?)

I dont have INSIDER either but.....

I’d imagine the article talks about Plax contacting the Bucs recently (talked to Ward and Bryant) and how any team who signs him may have to deal with his legal troubles. Two or three teams have voiced interested in Plax.

Bryant has said publicly (dont have the quote off hand) that he wouldn’t complain about getting balls if they went to the Super Bowl. It’s the right thing to say, but what happens if we dont make the big game? What happens if we start slow and he or Plax isnt involved? Not gonna be quiet at that point I dont imagine.

The ESPN Insider stuff is mainly hype, and alot of the info you can find other places. He isnt here yet, and I doubt Dominik really kicks the tires until we find out his status for the upcoming year.

I am an ESPNinsider. I clicked the link and it sent me to the rumor mill, it says virtually nothing about the Bucs...

The New York Jets have arguably been the most persistently rumored destination for Plaxico Burress since the latter’s release this offseason. However, speaking to Boomer Esiason on his weekly local TV show which taped yesterday, Jets owner Woody Johnson indicated the team is in a “holding pattern” regarding next steps, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.

“We don’t know his current status, both legally and from a league standpoint, and until those are cleared up, we look at him like any other player — we look at the talent, if there is talent, which there is with Plaxico, but there is with other talent around as well. When those two questions are answered, then we’ll proceed to the next level.”
