Everyone keep answering. I will not say wether an answer is right or wrong until there are ten answers or Monday.

And the winner will be notified, not notify us LOL

Just think, last year if we would have gotten Brett Favre, maybe WE would have lost 4 of last 5 games of the season like the Jets.....DOH!!!

The real answer is all of the above

Actually all three players played for the Buccaneers, George & Thomas were replacement players who played for the Bucs in 1987, George wore number 33 played in 2 games with one start and amassed a total of 9 tackles with 6 solo stops, 2 assist and 1 special teams tackle. Thomas wore number 36 played in 1 game with one carry for 2 yards.

White wore number 28 played for the Bucs in 1978 with one start in the seven games he was on the roster. He had 11 carries for 42 yards with a long of eight yards while hauling in 2 passes for 31 yards and a long of 18, he was a demon on special teams with 11 tackles.

I agree with him...

That sounds well researched…but I already have that DVD anyway.

the winner gets their choice of any dvd

from the superbowl season, not just the superbowl. Ravens, panthers, Green Bay, which ever.
winner will be announced (if there is one) monday morning.

Only 1

Derrick Thomas was drafted by the Chiefs with the #4 pick in 1989 and played his entire career there.
Jeff George was the first pick overall in the 1990 draft by the Colts he played for Colts, Falcons, Raiders, Vikings, Redskins, Seahawks and Bears

So as you see it would be pretty hard for them to have played anything other than college in 1987 in which I was a Junior in high school. No other players by those exact names were ever on the Bucs roster according to Buccaneers.com archives. You may be thinking of former bucs bust Broderick Thomas not sure who you might be refferring to for Jeff George.

Charles White is the answer

SGT MIKE

There have been many players over the course of time to play in the NFL with the same name as other players. I am sure this was supposed to be a trick question, to make fans second guess themselves.

But the

Question was spent time on the roster. Not a futures contract. While there was a Jeff George in 1987 he never made the roster according to Buccaneers.com archive. He is only listed as being a buc on NFL.com archives with no games or stats. I may be wrong but that sounds like a tryout or futures type deal not a roster spot.
I am wrong about Derrick Thomas as he played one game against against Detroit week 10 1987 for 2yds rushing . So I guess all of the above is technically the answer and the Bucs archive is not so correct as the NFL.com archive. I love Bucs trivia because over the years, especially the Yucs years, we had a plethera of no name never gonna make it players that make for great trivia.

and after deeper review

Derrick Thomas was a replacement player during the strike and so was Jeff George.

the question says

spent any time on roster, or signed at the beginning of their career, during the height, or at the very end for trial basis. But the question is wether they were ever under contract and or played for the Bucs for any length of time.

SGT MIKE

Based on the media guide from 1988 George was on the Bucs roster for two games.

by Bucsfan76 on May 31, 2009 2:02 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

none of the above

charles white played for the browns and rams, but never the bucs. Derrick Thomas played for the chiefs his entire career 89’-00’ until his death. George played for several nfc teams including the falcons, bears, vikes, seahawks, and redskins and even played for gruden in 97’ but never the bucs.

Go to NFL.com archives

This one was kind of a trick question but I found it on nfl.com player archives. Although White was traded before he had a chance to get on the field. George and Thomas were Replacement players not related to there younger more famous namesakes. They were only in the NFL for 1987 and no other team after the bucs
