A New Era Has Truly Started

While driving by Ray Jay today, I noticed something I've never seen in the stadium's entire history. The massive player banners on each corner of the stadium were gone. Over the years, many a Bucs' star has graced the outside of the stadium. When it was time for one player to come down, another was put in his place almost seamlessly. But now they are all gone. I don't know if they will return. Does anyone? Whatever the case, a new era has started in almost every aspect of the franchise.

very interesting...

maybe since SO MANY would have to come down at once, they just decided to take them all down during off season then put them up with new ones around august?

Or, maybe the ring of honor will be on there?

Cool debate Huh?

Ill go one further. I will name this new era, its the 5th Era of the Bucs.

1st- 76-86, Birth, Playoffs, fall from playoffs
2nd- 87-91 Vinny, Ray Perkins, white shirt white pants Bucs.
3rd- 92-96 Sam Wyche, Craig Erickson/Trent Dilfer, Orange Pants,
4th- Pewter Turn Around, SuperBowl, Lynch,Brooks,Barber,Alstott, ect,
and now the 5th- of which we cant realy describe yet because it hasnt happened.

...UM, So your saying in SuperBowl 37, Jon Gruden used Tony Dungys Team to beat Jon Grudens team while Tony Dungy lost his 4 straight playoff game with Jim Moras Team....???

8

2 for each corner. Well, realistically they could just do 4, but in the past it was always 8.

Lee Roy Selmon- HOF er
Ricky Bell- never really seen another 42 have you?
James Wilder- name reckognition. Probably the only one that could be wrong

John Lynch- Came to One Buc to retire
Mike Alstott- Went out in style unlike any other buc ever
Derrick Brooks- to make up to the fans
Warren Sapp- Hes been around the Org lately

Good thought...

…but I think if Brooks ends up playing somewhere else, there’s no way we put him up. I know Tampa loves the guy (and I do too), but I don’t think you can put up a guy who’s active for another team.

THE BANNERS

Which makes me wonder what they are doing with them...

…because Barber and Ruud were already up there. Maybe just redoing them. Barber’s had been up for so long it looked like the color was fading a little. I remember when they put Caddy’s up next to Barber and you could tell the difference big time between the new ones and the old ones.

Question Marks....

I mean there are so many with this team first being…How good can Josh Freeman be? I mean he has the keys to the franchise now, what to expect. Hes fgot the physical tools i can tell you that.
