Now we know why the Lions havnt won a championship in over 50 years! I mean I realize its 1977, but come on, this is more like 1947! I mean are they cheering on the Allies at Dunkirk? Just think, at the same time this is going on, a group of cheerleaders in Dallas are getting some real Attention! I bet this group went 0-16 way before the team did in 08!

In their defense — you brought up the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders and I don’t think it was until they had really started turning heads that things changed for cheerleaders in general.
But then again, this is the first time I have seen any NFL cheerleaders dressed like THAT! Looks like something, as you said, taken out of the late 1940’s or 1950’s! The cheer itself looks like something high school or even middle school cheerleaders would do.
When did the Swashbucklers first show up for the Bucs? Anyone have any old old clips of them?

I do have swashbuckler footage...
you just gave me an idea for a little comparison clip…old swashbucklers and todays version.
I would say that at the same time, our swashbuckers were ten times better than this, and it was the same year, 1977.
You are correct though..it was the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders that paved the way for all cheerleader squads to sex up and show more skin.
Just think, last year if we would have gotten Brett Favre, maybe WE would have lost 4 of last 5 games of the season like the Jets.....DOH!!!
