Sheldon Brown has asked to be traded
"I feel like it has been a total lack of respect," Brown told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio on Monday. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4084596)
So what are we willing to give up to have Brown, Talib and Barber?
I say go for him hard not a first round pick, maybe our 3rd? Next years second?
I know a few of you have had questions about drafting a CB, this would fill that "hole" that we have, his contract has 4 years left which is a lot but i think he can continue to play at a high level, i believe he will be like Ronde when he is older, losing a step or two but can be a great nickle. THis would allow Ronde to move from starter to shutting down the 3rd WR and in 2-3 years Brown can do the same thing....maybe we draft a CB lower and just "red shirt" him i guess. Just have him study beind all of the great CB's we have so when he is ready to step in we wont lose a beat as a franchise, but then again what do i know? I'm some white kid in Cali, hoping for the best for his Football team!!!!
*p.s: F&@! the raiders.....

This would be great...
It fits my puzzle! I dont know if you guys read my thread
‘Cornerback most glaring need… http://www.bucem.com/2009/4/19/844909/cornerback-most-glaring-need-wha
but I think he’s pulling a ‘Brian Kelly’ up in Philly, but hey guys i think this would be a Great move by the Bucs. This would let the Bucs have three solid spots at the CB position. We can alternate Barber and Talib into the starting role and nickel, with Brown as a full time starter. We can then keep Mack as our insurance policy and our ‘4th-quarter-breather’. I would say two third round picks (this and next years). He can also be our future with Barber leaving, where can stay in that starting role.

I like it...
this guy would fit in well with what I think will be a very good cornerback rotation.. I think Ronde’s play will be a little more consistant if he is not getting as many snaps and REALLY think Talib is a star… He barely knew what he was doing last year, but his instincts and just pure athleticism made some big plays. With Bates’ system focusing alot on the corners disrupting the passing game, Sheldon would make up for whatever slack Mack or Ronde would leave.
then draft a great DT or DE and this defense isn’t looking so bad afterall.
