Anquan Boldin
With the draft fast approaching trade rumors for Boldin are popping up, and he has allready said he wants to play in Florida, is he worth a first and a third? i know everyone wants to use the draft for defense, but what an offense we would have with him! Plus everyone is allready conceding we are going to have a losing season anyway (except for me that is) So trade for boldin and fix the defense next year.

Boldin would be a good addition....
I could see Boldin taking the pressure off of Bryant and limiting the Defenses chances at double teaming plus you add in Clayton with an underneath route and they’ll move the chains. Trading a first and third when we do not even have a second I would not do. That leaves the Bucs out of the Draft completely until the Fourth round. It would be nice to see the Bucs work out something to trade though.

IMO
The no 1-3 picks doesnt bother me at all knowing what we would have to show for it. The whole point of the draft is to add probowl players to your team. How many teams get 2 probowlers in the first 3 rounds of a draft? Not many. But we would get that with Winslow and Boldin. Imagine the offense we would have next year. The QB who wins the starting job will have too many toys to NOT succeed.

As much as I hate to, I say no to Boldin...
I use to want Boldin…alot. But not only would our draft be shot (we need a d lineman), but Antonio Bryant would probably throw a hissy fit. He wants a phat contract and I think he’d be pissed if another wideout makes more guaranteed than he does. I know he will make 9+ million, but nothing is guaranteed after that. Boldin will want 30-40 million guaranteed. I say keep our picks, draft defense and hope for the best. Philly and NY Giants are my picks to trade for Boldin.

I think the Giants get him
Philly is going to trade up to get a dominant LT. Or so I’ve heard…

Consider this
By trading for Boldin you eliminate any chance of drafting Freeman (which is a good thing)

I never thought of it that way...
…but I like it!

Agree
Boldin vs. Freeman…
Being out of rounds 1-3 would be hard to swallow, but perhaps we can put the right package together maybe:
- 1 + Clayton (they will need a WR to do the dirty work, since Breaston would move to the outside). I know we just gave Clayton a new deal, but it’s Boldin.
- 1, 3, Claton for Boldin and 2nd round pick.

the draft is always a crapshot
a 1st and a 3rd for a high powered offense I say do it!

Boldin would want BIG money
Personally, I want us to lock up Ruud before we make any more moves.

yes
Lock up Ruud, but i do like a 1-3 picks for Boldin. With Ward, Boldin, Bryant, and KW, Hell i can stand in the pocket and get a W!!! I say go for it! As much as i want to help out D, having 2 ProBowlers in the passing game is beautiful, plus Bryant and ward could become ProBowlers with the help of Boldin and KW (no one would be doubled covered and there would never be more than 6 in the Box for Run D) I can see it now the Bucs having a High Power offense, I don’t think i’ve ever heard the words

I would like it!
That would give us a sick collection of talent on offense….The only thing is Boldin would want huge money and I agree we need to lock down Ruud before going any further!

i like it, but..
could we trade out number 1 for next year, our number 3 for this year..and possibly clayton as well?
i’d prefer keeping our number 1 for this year (even trading it down for multiple picks), but if we have a legit offense , i say go for it!

NO!!!
Antonio is a great possession guy, but he is not a burner. If they get another receiver, he better be fast. Draft a DT, DE, or linebacker @ 19. We have tools on offense and we are gonna run way more anyway. Sure up the D and have at least a .500 season probably better.

no no no!
like the guy who gave the first comment fix the d next year!. in my view i like bolden but not were we give up our 1st and 3rd pick. you take either bey, maclin,or harvin in the first round i would also try to trade williams and i dont buy that know team would show interest because of his knee injury.(look at winslow he had knee surgery and we stiil liked him alot!) graham in my view is better than williams to me williams is mediocre at best. maybe moreno from georgia? worst case we get a defensive guy in the 3rd round its that simple.

williams has no trade value.
He’s coming off his second major knee injury in 2 years. Winslow had value because, in the three years since the last time he royally messed up his knee, he’s put up over 2,000 yards receiving. Caddy is a question mark at best right now. He might be worth something if he can stay healthy this season… but if he makes a full recovery and sticks it out through the whole season, there’s not really any reason to get rid of him, since he adds another dimension to the running game, which is where most of the offense will be focused.

I almost think
williams is a lost cause now as hes had the injury of death for RB’s twice and like farva said below me winslow has actually produced well after his surgery. and if you were going to get a WR anyways why not get a proven one for just a 3rd round pick more….instead of drafting a unproven rookie guy that hasnt played in a NFL game yet. It doesnt make sense. It is an awful idea to draft a WR in the first round especially with such a deep WR class and our shell of a defense. Pick up a WR with the 3rd if anything but the lack of depth at defensive players on the board tells us we need to draft fast if we are going to get good D players. In reality I dont even want to grab a reciever at all it doesnt make sense.
