-- Bucs to Host Derrick Ward --
Sun Mar 1, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
ESPN reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now officially in the running for free-agent RB Derrick Ward. He reportedly will make a visit to Tampa on Tuesday. It's believed the Bucs have had an interest in Ward all along, but were a little concerned about his initial asking price. But Ward, who is concluding a visit to Denver on Sunday, may not be getting the kind of initial offers he was hoping for.

I'm ok with that
he explodes through the OL…..has break away speed…..him and Graham together would be a great 1-2 combo….with Clifton Smith coming in now and then for a fresh look…

sign this guy
right now, 6 mil, might be a lot i understand that, but look what we are getting, a RB who wont break down by game 9, a RB who can move the chains, (and if we have a over pay him a lil, its ok cuz we are so under the cap, we can’t see the ceiling) if we are going to over pay someone, we might as well do it now, when we have the cap. Besides with Ward Graham together, we might break top 5 running off. in the league this year, even if we don’t sign TJ, or get Cutler, or any other UFA’s lets get us a rb who doesn’t break down so easily….

good call
Agreed with shadow……as far as Carnell whom I refuse to call that nickname….we trade him somehow …someway….if we are lucky ….we get a 5th rounder…but might have to settle for 7th

Only a 5th?
Kellen Winslow had his injury issues and some that are still lingering but we gave up a 2nd and a 5th. I’d guess we could get a little bit more than a 5th but not too much

I don't hate Caddy
I love his running style, I only disagreed with the value twrestlinga was placing on him.

That is true.......
he was suppose to be our franchise runningback for 8-10 years…..maybe he will come back……give us some good years…..what happened is some bad luck

I don't hate him
but for a 5th pick overall in the draft…….just frustrated….I have his jersey and it has collected dust over the past two years….I would love to wear it with pride again….but when……..

potentially this season
he’s expected to make it to training camp, something he couldnt do last off-season. He was really hitting his stride prior to that second freak accident of an injury… who knows what will happen when he returns. i know i’d rather find out then pawn him off for a 5th or 7th round pick
