Bucs were close to signing DT Albert Haynesworth
John Clayton of ESPN said the Buccaneers were very close to signing DT Albert Haynesworth. So close in fact that Albert chose the Redskins 100 million over the Buccaneers 100 million.

we can question
whether they were truly ever in on Haynesworth, but the sheer fact that they had $100 million on the table proves the Glaziers are ready to compete. I think we can all agree Haynesworth was the talent we needed along the line, it’s just that contract would have become a burden

WASTE OF MONEY
This guy would have been the worst signing in the Bucs history. We dodged a huge bullet.
At least we know that the GM is serious about using the cap space that we have. Bring in TJ!

Vilma and Winslow...

i liek the connection
i think it’s good that we havent heard anything on the Vilma front. It was widely accepted that he had a hand shake agreement in place with the Saints to re-sign with them. Apparently the Bucs have made him think twice, which is good for us

I say we go after Rocky Bernard for DT and try to get English in the first round of the draft
and maybe add Ron Brace in round 2 if we can.

Now that the West Coast Offense has left the building
Who knows? You know that the patriots would be willing to listen to trade offers. They can’t be serious about that franchise tag.
I’m just getting greedy.
