Mocking the Draft: Dissecting the #2 NFL Draft Pick

I know you guys are itching to discuss the Draft so let's put together our own Mock Draft for the site. Let's tackle this pick by pick so we don't get ahead of ourselves and/or overwhelmed. We're going to use Mocking the Draft's Mock Draft as our starting point. In this scenario they have the St. Louis Rams selecting:

2. St. Louis Rams
Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss: The Rams should have addressed the offensive line in the 2008 draft and taken the best left tackle available. If they're smart, they'll go with Oher.

When making your case for the St. Louis Rams #2 Pick keep in mind that the fan base from Turf Show Times, SBNation's St. Louis Rams Blog, collectively (46%) would like to see the Rams draft LB Aaron Curry from Wake Forest. Alright so let's hear it...

By the way, you can catch our previous Draft Pick in this site’s Mock Draft Link on the left sidebar…

NO WAY does Oher get taken with the second pick.

so what's the general feeling on this pick?

to me it’s meh, i absolutely hate the Rams… No specific reason, just do… Would Jason Smith be a reach? they collectively want Aaron Curry. What have you? If nobody has a conflicting reason I’ll just go with the poll…. although i’m not sure it mimics the Rams fans desires…

I picked Jason Smith

but I think they will get Curry. They need a presence on defense and Curry is perfect. He might be able to play MLB, but his frame is a little small/
