Dominik on Suh: "He's got to be at the top, or very near the top, of every team's draft board."
Whew... at least our GM recognizes the potential greatness in Suh. However, Dominik also stated: ""The only thing that worries me is living up to the hype. If he gets six sacks as a rookie playing defensive tackle, someone's going to call him a bust because of the high expectations. How's he going to handle that?''
6 sacks from a rookie DT? We have a hard enough time getting 6 sacks from a DE! If he's there... don't outthink yourself!

I read that comment somewhere too..
I see his point. He is referring to the Bucs Fan base who complains like that. People were calling Gaines Adams a bust after 6 weeks. Ok, they turned out to be right, but you dont know that till the third year!
I can see someone calling him a bust first year in that situation. Look how fast people are turning on Freeman after two poor games. As if he is expected to improve every single game.
Improvement comes over time.

I dont think he's giving our fans enough credit.
Gaines Adams proved his futility over a more than just one year, and he failed miserably…duly subjecting himself to criticism.
I don’t think everybody’s demanding Pro-Bowl numbers the first season. If Dominik wants to cite sacks, Sapp didn’t explode onto the scene in 1995 with double-digit sacks… In fact he only posted 3. Sacks are not the only telling factor for the success of a defensive line… There are several things to consider.
Hopefully he’s just trying to temper the fury to annoint Suh as a hall of famer, rather than expressing a hesitation to take him.

What I meant to add is that
If Mark’s trying to make a comparison to Gaines Adams, its off base. Suh would be playing a different position with different responsibilities than what Gaines had at DE. Gaines was brought in here to put up big time sacks and give this team a Julius Peppers, Dwight Freeney bad ass pass rush. Clearly this failed, and, with Gaines making big bicks and the team in a playoff push, fans demanded results immediately. This wouldn’t be the case for Suh, in my opinion. If he can come in here and help cause some chaos, collapse the pocket, and help return this Tampa 2 from below mediocrity to some level of respectability, that’s a big first step… And I think that’s all that (many) fans want right now.
Cannons... fire them.

They're (GM's and teams) always playing mind games with each other around draft day.
The draft is nothing more than a very high stakes game of chess. So lets make other teams think we don’t want him, but we really do.

If Suh is available and he doesn't take him
then I am going to personally stalk and heckle him at home and work for the entire season.

No kidding.
I haven’t been critical about the GM, but he has a bad draft I will be. I just hope his buddy Raheem isn’t here helping him.

His buddy raheem is why we have Freeman.
and despite two poor games, thats still a big positive.

I haven't said anything but good things about Freeman btw.
I think with the right coaching staff, he’ll be a very very good QB.
