Man oh man, I'm glad I was right about this game.
Sure we’re still 1-7, but damnit, this is our Super Bowl for the year.

The key to the win was all three units played well and made big plays

Did FB Pressley, who you got from the Bengals have a good game?
I was sad to see him leave, hope he works out for you.

hey guys, vikings fan here...
first off, congratulations to you on your first win! My thanks to you as well for making a really boring bye week in Norse-land entirely more exciting!! Thank you #2 is for making the Packers look like the average team that they are! Very, very impressive win, and i really hope you gentlemen can string a few of those together! If the bucs played like that every week, all i could say is damn!! here’s to you and a rather impressive victory, cheers!!!

BucEm needs...
A happy or amusing .gif to post after a win… Similar to DRaysBay’s Fiddle Cat. Feel free to offer up some suggestions.

Well so much for the Pac being my starting D in fantasy. -4
GO BUCS! I will take a loss in fantasy the rest of the season if they keep this up!

Congrats on the win for a Packers fan.
Freeman looked pretty good today, hopefully they’ll have a bright future with him. I’m still mad about how bad the Pack looked today but the Bucs played a good game today and it was nice to see a match from the old NFC Central.

Draft
I tihkn this might be our best draft in a while man Freeman , Stroughter , Roy Miller, Kyle Moore this guys have all contributed, Now for next year we get Suh hope spikes falls and we can get him and Dunlap falls, then we might have one of best linebackers with Hayes,Ruud and Spikes and a great D-line with Suh and Dunlap. Maybe trade for Kampman or Peppers and trade for Merriman he is falling out of favor and imagine this Ruud,Spikes and Merriman nasty!

Dunlap
has attitude problems- do you guys seriously read scouting reports?

Also
You think Dunlap would be a bad pick all the way down to the second round? I dont know what SR you have read, but the ones I have read still have him in the 1st.
by Hook85 on Nov 8, 2009 7:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
In the second, Im iffy
Its a high round pick, and this guy with tude problems + bad senior season = Gaines Adams v. 2.0

I agree with that
His career is a little similier to Adams.
He did have 3 sacks in one game though a few games ago, hes up to 6 now on the season. I was pissed when the Bucs passed on Jevon Kearse for Booger, I wont be pissed if they pass on Dunlap.
by Hook85 on Nov 8, 2009 7:57 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
From what I hear
He’s too similar to Adams, except skinnier. Unless he has a bag a techniques he’s really good at that always help him get in the face of the QB, I’d pass.
by NewLogic on Nov 8, 2009 8:06 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
skinnier?
You mean Gaines is skinnier, Dunlap wieghs 290 and is 6-6 compared to 6-5 260 of Adams.
The size difference is huge, the similarity we were describing was his lack of effort people describe on certain drives. And yes Dunlap has many pass deflections this season, a cpl have turned into picks.
by Hook85 on Nov 8, 2009 8:49 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I guess
He could have maybe enough strength to play DT/DE Hybrid in a 4-3 scheme but then i’m guessing.

I think all the early naysayers forgot about
The fact ALL 7 draft picks made the team(Although 1 is on IR) That is unheard of in this day and age. Hope if they get a high pick in the draft they trade down for more picks.
by bucfan76 on Nov 8, 2009 7:51 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Thats never a bad idea
The number one pick is over rated unless you need a franchise QB. The money difference from 1 to 4-5 is huge.
by Hook85 on Nov 8, 2009 7:54 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Number one is good for the glamour positions
As in QB, RB, WR
by NewLogic on Nov 8, 2009 8:05 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah they need the non glamour positions
If they traded down they could get two top notch secondary guys. Then pick up some pass rush sleepers later on. (2nd and third round will be loaded with Pass rush sleepers)

Like how we can't rely on Mack to man coverage without safety help.

He's our 3rd corner, it's obvious we need depth at CB, but he rebounded well

I'm glad Freeman looked good...
I missed the game because of work (a gig), but I saw some highlights and I heard it was ugly, but a win, wow… I love the Bucs and am glad they got a positive even though I predicted winless…

BOOM!!!
That is what I have to say. The Bucs exploded on to the scene today. Sure it was not pretty. But Freeman showed some great promise, and the team stepped up when it counted to get the W!! I am so excited (still) and I love it. I almost shed a tear tonight.

I still don't know how "impressed"...
I am with Freeman. Was able to watch the whole game and Im DEFFINATELY impressed with the WHOLE ENTIRE TEAM. Yes, even Clayton. That was an awesome grab. CONGRATS to the team and RAHEEM on his/their FIRST WIN! WOOO!
as for Freeman- the team reallly put him in positions to be successfull, he had trouble with simple things like dumping it off to RBs, and I wonder if his pocket pressence was REALLY as good as it seems or if he was just really uncomfortable in the pocket. It seemed as soon as he would finsish his drop whether it was a 3 or 5 step he would look to run. Typical with Rookies though….Good job, the 3 tds give you something to think about!

watch the game again...
Will the NY Jets please stop wearing those Titans uniforms. For a team that was only around for one year, Ive seen those uniforms 5 times already!

ENJOY THE WIN...
…and quit bitching! It may be the only one this season.
by louieyak on Nov 9, 2009 11:34 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
not
bitchin. Its hard to bitch about the first win of the season, let alone 3 tds from your rookie QB. SImply keeping things in perspective. 2 fumbled snaps, bad read on the pick, a couple overthrown balls to recievers open. -Rookie mistakes, I know.
A great Coach once said….It’s not your first game, your first TD or your first mistake that matters….Its what you do after that.
Niko- I did, it was a GREAT game by the team as a whole. I saw something I haven’t seen in a while…..WRs making plays on the ball and actually catching it. lol and the defense played well when it mattered most. Can’t wait for next week.
