My introduction!
This first entry will simply an introduction to me.
I've been a football fan since I was about ten years old. The first time I watched football was on a hot October afternoon at my grandfather's house. He taught me some things about football as the game went on, and my mom filled in the rest. By the end of 2002, I understood how football worked, in a rudimentary sense. In 2006, I actually played pads-and-helmets ball for the first time, and really understood how the game worked after that. What it means to be the guy with some pressures.
I've been a Gator fan since 2006. That was my first real exposure to college football. The first game I watched was the LSU-Florida game that year. In that game, this kid named Tim Tebow threw a wacky touchdown pass. I was enthralled by this guy. He was a backup of sorts, playing almost like a third down QB. I liked his unusual style. So, I can rightfully say I was a fan of Tebow before everyone was heaping all the praises on him.
Now that I've told you these pressing details, I will go over my views of the Buccaneers organization as it stands. Firstly, I am part of the RAHEEM MUST GO camp,( EDITED FOR CONTENT). I didn't agree with firing Gruden last year, because although he wasn't getting us to the playoffs, I had sneaking suspicions that the real problems were under the surface, and had more to do with Monte leaving than a lack of talent. I think the problems now consist of Raheem being completely unable to control his team, and that he has no business mind at all–why else would he get rid of the team leader, Derrick Brooks? A guy with a track record. So what if he's old. You have to have a mentor, and now all the Bucs have is the good, though somewhat reserved Ronde Barber. Ronde may be a good guy, but he's just not that outspoken. Raheem clearly thinks that Ronde WILL be outspoken, but it never happens.
The next fault I see is the fellow I like to call Jawsh Fweeman. I call him this because in my view, Freeman is little more than a kid with no ambitions and minimal talent. As much as I'd like him to be good, the facts do not support this idea. Freeman is another brick in the wall along with the likes of Carson Palmer and Tim Couch. Fact is, going over his college highlights, nothing suggested so much as a fourth-round quarterback pick. Even in college, he was a time-waster, didn't really try to get rid of the ball, tended to make mental errors, and so on. Also, he wanted so badly to be Vince Young, but the facts are he isn't Vince. I'm already predicting 0-16, even if it is a bit premature, because really, I don't see a way up or out for the Bucs, I just see bad things in the immediate future.

You failed to mention
whether or not your a Bucs fan. I found it difficult to decipher through your “brick wall” of disdain. Also, if Josh Freeman turns out anything like Carson Palmer, I think his 1st round pick was well worth it. On the other hand, I have to agree that Ronde Barber is not an outspoken leader. One needs to emerge for the Bucs to turn things around defensively this season.
Drinking and watching football since I still had short-term memory.

Welcome!!!
I agree with you about Brooks, but not many here will. Brooks IMO would have been way more valuable on the bench only playing some rather than not at all. Now they get nothing from him, no leadership, nothing.

Not everyone disagrees about Brooks
I think it was one of the worst decisions made this year.

I liked Brooks too
But its hard for me to say Morris screwed up on letting him go, when no other team in the NFL has picked him up.

Looking back Id say that was the first mistake made..
..and I dont mean to have Brooks still on the team starting, because that would have hindered Geno Hayes. Nor do I mean have him on the bench, because that guy has no business being on the bench…but rather the fact that they didnt go to him and work something out. I’ve heard different versions, but all the stories have a shocked Brooks finding out about it. Thats not the way you treat a legend. But..I wasnt there..so I dont know how it went down for sure…. Just that there had to have been some way to let him go out the way he wanted.
Will the NY Jets please stop wearing those Titans uniforms. For a team that was only around for one year, Ive seen those uniforms 5 times already!

FYI,
To add to your Tebow knowlege, “everyone was heaping all the praises on him” before he even played his first game. Gator fans chanted his name when he ran out onto the field for his first play. Saying you been a Gator fan since 2006, is like saying I been a Rays fan since 2008.
Carson Palmer played at USC and won the Heisman
Tim Couch was the #1 draft pick and still hold many NCAA records
How does Freeman comapare to those two? If the Bucs had drafted either of those 2 QB’s Morris would of been stoned for waiting so long to start one of them.
