Play calling has been the worst, and I don’t blame Leftwich for last weeks game either. Out of the 22 pass attempts in today’s game, I think only 6 maybe 7 pass attempts were actually pass the line of scrimmage, and barely.

There are a lot of curious calls in that game.
The FG try with our D (though they did their job)
The short passes on the last drive
The lack of commitment to running game

The front office/coaching staff can’t be, but in this case it doesn’t matter much either way.

Leftwich is a veteran who not everyone was in agreement with him getting the starting job, while JJ is an inexperienced 2nd year that a lot of people were curious about. People judge veterans on a much harsher scale as long as the inexperienced doesn’t throw 3+ INTs and some pick 6s.

I'm all for firing Morris,
I never liked the move to make him head coach, or coordinator for that matter. This team really lacks focus and discipline, they need a leader not a friend. It drives me nuts to see the head coach chest bumping the players. They need to make a play for Shanahan before Washington does, cause the way it’s looking now, we’re not gonna win a game.

I dont mind a time share with one other guy
but you have to recognize what works. That means when Caddy is averaging 6 yards a carry over 8-10 carries, give him the ball. With a healthy Graham, Clifton shouldnt sniff the field

Good news is: QB Josh wasn’t that bad. Could have been better, especially on third downs, but still…
Good news is: The secondary looked better, esp. Talib getting 3 INTs for a career day.
Bad news is: This was against a Washington offense that doesn’t really strike fear into the hearts of Division II college teams.
Good news is: Gaines Adams got a sack.
Bad news is: Gaines Adams got just one sack. For the first 1/4 of the season. At this pace he’ll have 4 sacks all year.
Good news is: Caddy rushed pretty well today.
Bad news is: why did the coaches pull him for the final must-win drive?
Good news is: K Mike Nugent… he uh… um… why is this good news? Oh yeah. Good news is Martin Gramatica might be available to return.
