Freeman to Start. About time or Bad Decision?
I Haven't been online and posting in awhile but when i heard the news about Josh Freeman Starting i made sure to find time in my day to log on and speak my mind.
Of course we all know the big uproar about our Tampa Bay Buc's trading up and drafting Josh Freeman. Alot of us were against it and a few of us were proud of the decision( Me being one of those proud fans). I honestly don't wanna sit here and talk stats with everyone like i have in the past, But from what i seen him do during Preseason i think Freeman will HELP bring us our first win. I would discuss more about the situation but it Being Halloween, i'm short on time.I just wanna know What everyone's opinion is on the decision and When i hear those is when i bring out my Big guns. lol
Happy Halloween!!!

Well
I wouldn’t say it’s about time but I wouldn’t say it is a bad decision. We might as well give him some play time so he can come into next year with some experience. We haven’t won a game and neither of the other two QBs have looked very good. We might as well see what he has to work on in game situations so they can better prepare him in the off season. Practice isn’t playing and you can’t fully judge someone until you see them play.

Freeman Start
I am trying to remain optimistic about his ability, but remembering how he did vs 3rd stringers in that last pre-season game, well as his extremely unpolished play in college. I feel that with our current “offensive” (and I use that term literally and figuratively) play will not be hindered nor helped by throwing him in. However, I wouldn’t put him in against a Green Bay team that is in the hunt.
But at least this way we can find out if he is a bust this season as opposed to a year down the road. This whole season is a fiasco, and Raheem Morris is just in over his head.

Random, but
We will soon be the only winless team in the NFL. Just have to wait for the Titans game to be over…

Its over
T-Jack is back, J.J has went back to sucking, Bates won't blitz, Raheem's bored.

It is now in the books...
The Bucs record of consecutive loses is safe for now. The Rams won today ending a 17 game losing streak so the only team that is in on track to break it is………You guessed it, The BUCS! The record streak, I believe, is 26 consecutive loses by the Bucs. 7 consecutive loses this season and 4 to end last season gives them 11 right now and if they lose the remaining 9 games, Which has a very high chance, the streak of loses for the Bucs will be at 20. Just 6 shy of the record.
The Titans also won today so then there was only 1 ( The BUCS).

your correct...
Game 1 1976 until game 12 1977. 26 straight losses.
then came week 13 @ New Orleans.
and then the next week 14 St Louis.
Will the NY Jets please stop wearing those Titans uniforms. For a team that was only around for one year, Ive seen those uniforms 5 times already!

I used to think it would be a mistake
to throw Freeman out there now; But with 2 weeks being able to throw with the first team, and 2 weeks watching tape of Greenbay, and 2 weeks of mentally preparing himself for this very moment, if we are going to win a game, this is the game i feel we have the best chance. With the Defense playing better than when we started the season and hopefully with Freeman the Offense gets a spark. Freeman needs to start the rest of the season, win or lose….it doesn’t matter what he does, we are drafting a top Defensive lineman…

I dont think Josh Freeman will lead the Bucs to a victory in his first start...
because I dont think the team is good enough around him to accomplish that task.
However, I think he will lead the team to A victory this year, probably in a game that right now you would say is a game we probably shouldn’t win.
No matter what he does though, there is no way we can judge him as a bust or savior at the end of this year , that will have to wait until at LEAST the end of next season, and Im not even sure you can determine it by then either, but we should have a clue.
One more thing..judging players by their 4th qtr preseason performances can be a little more accurate than people think…because even though they’re 3rd stringers on defense, they are also 3rd stringers on offense too, and the talent surrounding him is level to what he is playing against.
Its kinda like pick up games, where the best guy is all time QB!
Now as long as no one takes this and runs with it thinking Im saying that you can tell if a player will be good based on his 4th qtr performance, because Im not saying that. Just saying, its a little more accurate than people think.
