On This Day Recap- 10/27/1995; Too much time on Favre's hands...

Rusty Tillman was the Defensive Coordinator, Pre Kiffin Days.

Rusty Tillman was the Defensive Coordinator, Pre Kiffin Days.

Believe it or not, the Bucs had a lead in Lambeau Field 10-7 with 4:00 to go in the half. But, Brett Favre got the ball and scored with 2:12 seconds left on a 54 yard TD pass. ...and a 1 yard Dorsey Levens run...with :38 seconds left in the half. So  much for that 10-7 lead. Thats what happened to the Bucs back then. Now its 21-10, and before you know it, 35-13, On This Day, in Green Bay.

The rematch would be Oh So Sweet however! Rest assured we'll get to that one!

I really hated

the white shirt with orange pants white and white was much better.

Well we can thank Sam Wyche for this...

who probably believed the uniform had something to do with the losing.

If anyone can get production out of Gaines Adams, it will be Rod Marinelli. Good Luck Gaines and thank you Bucs for restoring my confidence that there is accountability.

are you kidding...

I loved the orange pants and white jerseys. they also made bucco bruce 25% bigger and more detailed which to this day, I beleive is the best looking logo in sports. I will never forgive the club for changing the uniforms. I hate the new ones. Looks like any other cartoon crap, who came up with these new ones a highschool gangbanger? and for those who think uniforms changes team attitude is plain dumb. look at the packers don’t tell me their uniforms are something to cheer about, and they have won superbowls, its all about ownership and managment. I will bet my life if we wore our old uniforms back at the begining of 2002, we would still win the superbowl.

I agree that uniforms dont matter that we still would have turned it around, but there is no doubt many of the players felt

The new uniforms were tougher and they did not like the old ones as much.

Me personally, The new ones have been around so long, they have grown on me, but of course Im going to favor the orange because that is what they wore when I grew up as a Bucs fan.

I cannot wait for this next game, I dont think I care if they win or lose, as long as they make a game of it.

I think

if the team loses next season too that they should consider another uniform change. Maybe going back to the old colors!

You get what you pay for.

Niko...

can you find some video footage of the orange pants and white jerseys.. I really miss those days. It would be great if you can find the highlights of the bears loss to the Bucs in 96. when Karl the truth Williams ran it back for a touchdown. I remember the Qb for the bears Kramer saying the bucs would never beat them. LOLOL

That game 16 of 96 will no doubt find its way onto the ON THIS DAY video.

There will a TON more of the historical videos in the offseason, including complete games you will be able to watch.

Later on in the year I will take some polls to get a feel for what era people are interested in, or I may do the 25 best Bucs games ever. Keep an eye out.
