A message from a UK fan...
Why is it an insult? It’s about respect between our two countries.
I think of the USA and the UK as family – sure we fell out in 1775, however family is family and a small squabble is not enough to break us apart.
The UK and the USA have stood side by side for more years than I have been alive, and I am sure it will still be as strong after I am gone.
Heck, the UK could almost be classed as the 51st state!
Hope that explains we we Brits don’t see it as an insult! You guys are family and are welcome over our side of the pond anyday!

Depends on how you look at it...
Imagine a teenager wanting to leave home and make his or her own way in the world. That’s kinda what happend – the USA wanted to make its own mark on the world and no longer be told by its parents what to do.
Some 200 years on and the teenage USA is all grown up and has made piece with the rest of the family. Furthermore they invited American Football and for that we will forever be proud of their achivements! ;-)

im a Jags fan from the UK, im a massive NFL fan and ive been to several NFL games, including 2 superbowls.
i thought id come cheer the bucs on here being a fellow floridian follower…
i must say, over here if you follow the nfl – youre almost a geek/freak. we are in no way shape or form ready for an nfl franchise. There is the interest in watching 1 game per season but i wouldnt say that many more…

at least the NFL draft will be fun, there are 1000 places to fix.
We need 2 DT, 1 DE, a Safety, 2 LB and a CB

I like our LBs whether they fit the system or not
WR is fine, tackle maybe, and I still like Faine but a decent backup would be nice.

A long, long way to go...
I keep hearing a lot of talk about the Bucs improving week to week. Truth is, they have in some areas, but in others, they are remaining the same, if not worse. JJ didn’t look the same today, Bryant – our Franchise Player – is still dropping passes, the line still isn’t holding their blocks, the D Line is getting pressure and our DB’s seem lost at times. The running game is week to week, but at least they have a bright spot.
How long is ownership and management stand idly by while more and more revenue flies out the windows? The fans are upset, what that means for ownership is loss of attendance and merchandise sales, TV blackouts, and less ad revenue. When this losing streak starts hitting the Glazers in their bank accounts, perhaps we will get a proven coach in there that can mold the players we have into a team that can win. The pieces are there, the coaching staff just can’t seem to make them fit. It’s like the square peg in the round hole with these guys. Bad play calls and no acceptance of responsibility by them. All I ever hear is this guy did this, or that guy did that, never “I should have called a better play than the one I did.”
And sure, people will argue this post, but it’s of no consequence. The optimistic tone of most people that post on here is only reinforcing the Glazers and the coach’s decision making. The firing of Gruden was the right move, however, handing the reigns over to an inexperienced 32 year old coach is by far a worse move than keep Gruden around for another year. Change was needed, but not for the worse.

Its week 7. Expect 0 possible change in anything you speak of in paragraphs 2 and 3.
And the secondary did not look lost today. They had several picks off of Tom Brady. This team is improving, but no matter, as in two years you will not recognize this team.
as for your last paragraphs…what you need to understand, is the Glazers understand what had to be done with this team. It needed to be built from scratch, instead of all the bandaids that have been applied over the last several years. What your going to see in 2011 is a very good team built from the draft and not FA, with splashing of FAs here and there.

I don't disagree
I don’t think anything will change that I spoke of in paragraphs 2 and 3 either, at this point. Firing a coach in midseason is the ultimate bonehead move. Nothing spells disarray better than that.
As for the secondary, take those two pics away, and they just didn’t seem to have a handle on the schemes being ran. But, then again, perception is a dangerous ideal.
I also agree, totally, with the fact that this team had to be rebuilt. For as much as some of the older players gave us, there was no plan in place to replace them when the time came. That was part of the problem. Rebuilding a team doesn’t happen in a year. Or two. It takes time, effort, patience and willingess to go after the young, proven players that are available. We have some great young talent in place (Talib, Biggers, Stroughter, and Miller for example — I know there are more). It also takes an experienced leader to manage an extensive rebuilding effort and Morris just isn’t that guy. You are right though, with great strategy in picking up personnel through FA and the draft, in two years, this will be a team that will be one of the most competitive week in and week out. There is no doubt about that.
