Josh Koehn of the Gilroy Dispatch: Do you think Jeff [Garcia] has played his last game in Tampa Bay?
Bob Garcia [Jeff's Dad]: I think so. You know, I shouldn’t say that because I guess they had a meeting Monday and the big guy [Head Coach Jon Gruden] talked to him and said he wants him back. Well, I said, ‘It’s not for me to make a decision, but just remember what you went through. And, not just with the contract and the Brett Favre thing and the injuries and the benching and the whole thing from the offense and everything.’ He said, ‘I know, dad. I just want to get away for about two months and let things settle, maybe clear up a little bit, and then think about what I want to do.’

that just goes to show you
that everything has weighed on Jeff Garcia. He and his dad are obviously close and so his dad has seen first hand the effects that all of these issues have played on Garcia. I wonder, do you think Jon Gruden has officially lost his players? Garcia talks about the team not having a fire for the final four weeks of the season. Do the players no longer believe in Gruden’s offense? Obviously Michael Clayton never did. Jerramy Stevens and Antonio Bryant questioned the usage of players at times. Surely Joey Galloway did, considering he was blaming the media for getting him in hot water….
I don’t know… Winning fixes everything obviously, but a nine win season has quieted nothing. Can they improve upon that? I don’t know
