I'm a big Derrick Williams fan...

…I think he could make a very good complimentary player for some team. He has great speed, is a good returner, and has decent hands. I remember back when he was the top recruit in the nation and every school wanted him. I definitely think he could turn out to be a decent pro.

i hope the Bucs take a flyer

on at least one receiver in this draft and i know its ridiculous, but i would even take a flyer on two if they are both around:

Texas’ Quan Cosby (3rd or 4th round) and Florida State’s Greg Carr (Not quite sure where he’s slotted, I’ve seen 6th to 7th, to even going undrafted)….

My reasoning is that Quan is a Anthony Gonzalez type receiver. A smaller, but highly capable and dependable type of receiver. He’s not going to take over any ball games, but he’ll certainly make the tough catches and has the ability to turn a standard reception into something nice. Think Lance Moore of the New Orleans Saints (who’s a free agent)..

I know I’m going to get killed on this pick as coming off as a homer (search my demands for Buster Davis to become a Buc years ago and you’ll know where i’m coming from). Hear me out on this one, the guy is money in the Red Zone. Where did we struggle mightily last season (hell almost every season since ’02)? In the Red Zone. His freshman season he caught nine touchdowns. During his sophomore season he caught twelve touchdowns. For good measure he only caught four touchdowns each of his Junior and Senior seasons.

This guy is a beast in the end zone though. Trust me when i say he had to play with QB’s that werent quite up to the challenge of getting him the ball (UNFNOLE, you should be able to vouch for that). With that said, Greg Carr never dominated like everyone thought he would. At one point he was being compared to Calvin Johnson, but for whatever reason he never got bigger as his collegiate career progressed. I realize we have Maurice Stovall on the roster, but Greg Carr can be a freak of nature so long as he is motivated. I think shots in the end zone in the NFL with the opportunity to get compensated for it would be enough motivation to make Greg Carr a standout receiver in the NFL. This guy catches everything thrown to him, it’s just a matter of getting him the ball via a capable QB/Coordinator….

Alright take me to the wood shed if you feel the urge…

I won't kill you...

…because I completely agree with what you said. I think Carr could be a great red zone receiver. I’d say part of his inconsistency and inability to become truly great at FSU was some team offensive woes. It wasn’t necessarily him not performing as much as up and down offensive performances over the years. It’s hard to develop consistency when your QB can’t do the same.

BJ Raji is clearly the best DT in the draft

but Peria Jerry still stands head and shoulders above the rest of the DTs as well. I would be happy with either on our team. However, I don’t think there is a chance that Raji falls to us at 19.
