Bucs Scratch Linehan Off their List; Lions Swoop In
The Bucs met with Scott Linehan Wednesday and informed him they would be looking elsewhere to fill their OC position. Don't feel bad for Linehan though... the Lions came calling and he accepted their offer to become their OC this afternoon. Hmmm, on the other hand, with either Orlovsky or a rookie QB at the helm next year and a morbid offensive line.... maybe we should feel sorry for him. I gotta wonder if he doesn't regret turning down the Niners' OC gig last week.
Chan Gailey, Rod Chudzinski, Ken Zampese, and Bucs QB coach Greg Olson remain candidates for the job.

i'm guessing
Detroit was closer to home (St, Louis) than Tampa for him any way and so he should be happy…
Who else has their fingers crossed that the Bucs pull a rabbit offensive coordinator out of their hat that has never been mentioned before to be a possible hire for the Bucs?

Ken Zampese....has my vote
If he is hired then maybe that would lead to the signing of T.J. Housh…….he has a history of being with teams that scores TD’s like Coach Morris wanted. When he has the right personel ……big arm QB(which we have to find), 2-threat back (which we have to find), deep posession receivers(Bryant, T.J. and find a third). Other than that we would be fine…LOL…..Ok maybe we can find them in the off-season.

lol
i kept reading ‘we have to find’ and couldnt help but laugh… i think we have a two back threat in Graham and Dunn, it’s just not a sexy backfield.
We could do worse than Zampese i would think

Chudz was the OC on the 2001 Canes national championship team
… althought that was arguably the most talented team in college football history.
Cannons... fire them.

Very true...
…but you still have to get all that talent to work together.
