Players may have had a hand in Gruden's firing
NFL.com's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Glazers have been talking to Gruden's players over the past couple weeks and that the overall report on Gruden couldn't have been favorable considering today's firings.

Didn’t he have a bad reputation among players in Oakland? I recall seeing quotes that were not the kindest remarks out there. It may have had to do with the trade though and Gruden not saying goodbye.
