Buccaneers Joey Galloway benched, Clayton to start, Troupe released?
... UPDATE ...
More great news: The Tampa Tribune is reporting DE Gaines Adams missed practice today with 'irritated' ribs? What in the? I remember seeing Gaines grab his lower back after he tripped up Rookie QB Matt Ryan late in the 2nd half Sunday. Hopefully this isnt anything serious. We just got to witness what a successful d-line looks like. I know I'm greedy, but i want to see repeat after repeat.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been busy today:
They released former Florida Gator in TE Ben Troupe in order to make space for TE Jerramy Stevens return from suspension.
They also released CB Brandon Sumrall from the Practice Squad and added Free Agent CB Kyle Arrington to the Practice Squad.
On top of that fantastic news, there’s a report by the St. Pete Times that our White Tiger aka WR Joey Galloway will NOT play in Sunday’s game against the Bears and that WR Michael Clayton will start in his place. Luckily its lunch time or the three of you reading this would have spit up your morning cheerios on your monitor and keyboard.
There should be a report coming out later in the day on the status of G Davin Joseph and WR Maurice Stovall… Stay tuned

Definitely Clayton’s chance. Hopefully this will restart his engine.

Over/Under on them catching more then 50% of balls thrown their way combined?

i'm going over
as a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while and i really hope Clayton can turn it around, though i’m not sure i could endorse resigning him if he did, turn it around

I kind of like Hilliard as the #3. Kind of like a pass rushing DE, Hilliard excels as a 3rd down receiver. At this point in his career, I’m all for him being used in the situations that best suit his skill set and not necessarily on every down.

Wow.. just.. wow
Well damn, its sure going to be entertaining watching Griese bounce the ball off of Clayton and Bryants numbers all day long on Sunday….. i think i just puked in my mouth a little

Jerry, you are just full of good new now, aren't ya?
I am a Michael Clayton fan and am happy he is seeing some playing time. Hopefully Maurice Stovall will get some reps too. Pretty soon white tigers will be extinct.

Sigh.......
If 8 in the box wasn’t guaranteed before, it is now. Time to get tricky with the playcalling and the sets. I wonder how far along DJax is with the playbook. It’d be nice to try to get him some touches in open space, along with taking a few shots down the field. Will also need to try to get some mismatches for Warrick Dunn, Alex Smith, and Co. in the middle of the field. However, the Bears’ backers are so athletic that I’m not sure it would be much, if any, of a mismatch.

If the Bucs want to win
It would NOT be a good idea to try to get Jackson more touches on. Ever.

Because
He’s fast but not elusive, he drops to the ground when breathed on by a baby and he’s so young that he can’t have ANY idea how the offense works. The ONLY way I would use him would be on an end-around. It’s looking (to me) like he was a waste of a pick, unless he learns to break a tackle at some point.

Hopefully me saying this
Causes him to return a kickoff for a TD this weekend or something.

I want whatever your smokin...and fast. How can you say that after 2 games into the season?
Unless you are one of those people who have “visions” or can see into the future I suggest who keep your comments to yourself. The only thing wasted was the space you put on this page. I will gladly eat my words come seasons end if Jackson doesn’t pan out, but until then…..

I'm NOT saying he's a bust
I said it looks that way thus far. I still stand by my statement that there’s no way he knows how the crazy-complex offense and getting him reps in a real game against real defenses doesn’t really sound appealing to me. I’d rather see any of our other, more experienced, receivers in there.
