Brian Griese will start Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. I gotta be honest, I’m utterly shocked by this decision:

First of all, i dont remember a single instance in Sunday’s game against the Saints in which Garcia tweaked his ankle? Unless it was on the last play and it occurred while i buried my head in my hands…

Secondly, I have just never warmed up to Brian Griese. I hated him when he was here years ago and i dont believe in him now. I know its immature of me, but i just flat out don’t like the guy. I dont like his dink and dunk tendencies, i dont like his lack of mobility, and i dont like his ability to throw the BIG interception…

With all of that venom out of me, he is this team’s best option at this point. McCown hasnt shown that he’s remotely capable of making the necessary decisions to carry this team and Josh Johnson, he and the fan base collectively are not ready for that just yet.

Obviously this is just one game, but its fairly alarming.. Who would have thought Garcia would miss a game in week 2? my goodness
