Atlanta Falcons RELEASE TIGHT END ALGE CRUMPLER: Bruce do the RIGHT THING!

The Atlanta Falcons have just released 5 Time Pro-Bowl Tight End Alge Crumpler reports ESPN.com.

This is the greatest opportunity the Bucs could ever have to acquire a REAL Tight End. Sorry Alex, but Alge is a MAN and would be THE MAN in Tampa. Crumpler was set to make 3.4 Million this season, that is NOTHING. Chump change in this day in age. There is NO REASON why the Bucs can't-won't-shouldn't pursue and sign my man Alge Crumpler. Checkout his stats below:

We all know Alge's had to work with some of the most erratic QB's in the League, Vick, Harrington, Leftwich etc.. He's been nothing but durable up until this season. Some might think of Crumpler as a prima donna for the way he outed then Head Coach Bobby Petrino last season. Alge's not that guy and never has been, he just got completely fed up with the hand he had been dealt and who can blame him? Come on Bruce Allen, bring FREE AGENT TIGHT END ALGE CRUMPLER TO THE CITY OF TAMPA AND NEVER LET HIM LEAVE!!! PLEASE and THANK YOU!!!

Don't forget to stop by The Falcoholic, our Atlanta Falcons Blog, to laugh, I mean, give your condolences to Dave and his Falcon Community.

Sign the Man!
Holy cow, can you believe the Bucs have a chance at signing one of the premier tight ends in the league? If Bruce Allen and company screw this one up, it won't be because we can't afford him. The only reason I could imagine him going elsewhere is that he wants to get out of the NFC South.

I'm shocked
That Alge's on the open market. The one player on the Falcons that was truly worth his salary got released. Amazing!

As long as I read that Bruce Allen did everything in his power to lure Crumps to Tampa I'll be satisfied if he ends up somewhere else

He would be an excellent addition to this team. He could mentor Alex Smith and be that added offensive threat we so desperately need. All Bruce has to do is show him the money.
