Jermaine Phillips Out for Season; Jeff Garcia Still Questionable
Only returning recently from a broken left arm, safety Jermaine Phillips is now out for the season after suffering a broken right arm in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Heading into the final two games of the season, this is horrible news as the Bucs could definitely use Phillips experience. Sabby Piscitelli looks like he can be a good player in this league, but is still raw at times.
It appears as if quarterback Jeff Garcia will be back on the field against the San Diego Chargers, but there still is some question. Garcia is being evaluated daily and the Bucs should know within the next couple of days if he's ready to go.
Derrick Brooks and Gaines Adams were also hurt against the Falcons, but there isn't definitive information regarding either missing time just yet.

It's a shame
they should’ve won one game against Caorlina or Atlanta.
These injuries make winning the last two games that much harder.

Agreed...
…they really needed to get the win over Atlanta. I’m keeping all my fingers crossed we don’t limp into the playoffs like last year.

I'll take a limp in...
The way the Cowboys, Eagles, and Falcons have been playing lately, the Bucs need to be worried about getting a playoff spot. Our team has to win both of its next two games and hope two of the three teams I listed above lose a game.

Not really
Win out and we’re in.
But that’s not a given seeing how we’ve played the last two weeks…

No, the Bucs can make it in by winning out....
barely, and I mean BARELY. John Romano has a good article up about it. Check it out here
