Bucs activate Caddy, release Bennett
As expected, the Bucs activated Cadillac Williams from the PUP list today and released Michael Bennett to make room. The Bucs also placed WR Maurice Stovall on IR and recalled recently demoted Brian Clark back up from the practice squad.
I'm as happy as the next Bucs fan that Caddy's back. It should provide an emotional boost to the team and hopefully he'll be the lightning to Graham's thunder late in the season. However, don't expect see him get more than 8-10 touches on Sunday. Graham was limited in practice today due to his gimpy knee and is questionable for Sunday's game. With Dunn still fighting a back injury and Cadillac certain to be limited, I expect Graham to man up and play Sunday and get about 18-20 carries.

Like none of us saw this coming! Michael Bennett deserves to be a little peeved if ya ask me.
Last year he did say Jon Gruden’s playbook was like reading Chinese, but this year he just didn’t get the reps. I wish him the best and hopefully he catches on somewhere. I;m also sad to see Stovall shelved for the year. This could be his last in a Buc uniform.

Bennett played the good soldier role, at least it seemed that way in the media, but.....
….. how do we know if he got a raw deal? Clearly the coaching staff had no faith in him. He had a bad reputation for fumbling in college and wasn’t solid in pass protection in Minnesota.
Cannons... fire them.

like you said
it’s tough to truly assess the situation from a fans perspective. At the very least he should have got a more looks in the regular season. There’s players that perform better when the lights are on as opposed to the practice fields, but even then Gruden plays guys based on their practice performances and so Bennett clearly didnt do enough…
I hope Caddy is ready. The quotes Bennett provided got me excited to see what Carnell can do behind our line..

Banged up running backs doesn't bode well for Sunday.
Will this be a game with 70-30 pass:run ratio? We all know Gruden is quick to abandon the run when it doesn’t work. He will be even quicker when it doesn’t work with gimpy backs

I was thinking the same thing
I hope not. Our O-line is so good I want to see the Bucs shove the ball down their throat.
I could be wrong though

definitely going to the air
i believe… I can’t even muster up excitement for this match-up. It obviously effects our Wild Card Playoff hopes, but at this point i just want to bring on the NFC South competition, because thats where the season will be made… Peterson provides a nice test obviously, but even then he’s such a freak that theres not much to take away from the defense defending him. They’ve already proved they can stop the run this season and nobody any the playoff picture possesses a back like Minny
