Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Coin-Toss scheduled for Friday February 23rd

Chris Harry from the Orlando Sentinel, clues us in on when the Bucs and Browns will have their coin-toss to determine who has the third pick in this April's NFL Draft.

Both team's finished the season 4-12 and are said to have their sights set on Georgia Tech's "freak-of-nature" wide receiver; Calvin Johnson.

Hopefully we use the pick to our advantage
While unconnected precedent should never set future course, we have not done well with prior top offensive line draft picks (cough.....Charles McRae.....). I honestly don't follow the draft too closely, and I really wouldn't have a clue in hell about how to evaluate offensive linemen (specifically Joe Thomas), but Johnson is a playmaker. I hope we can get him, as Galloway can't last forever and speedy WRs usually just burn out, it isn't gradual.

If
Calvin Johnson is still available, they almost have to pick him. Nearly every forum I've visited or SportsNation discussion I've witnessed, tells me Bucs fans are CRAZY for Calvin and understandably so. Should the Bucs pass on him; the backlash could be ongoing.

I agree with the majority as well, but what happens if, say the Raiders make a Texan esque mistake and draft Brady Quinn and the trickle-down effect leaves JaMarcus Russell there for the picking.

With the question marks surrounding Simms and the attractiveness that comes with a 6'5 255 gifted QB in JaMarcus Russell. I'm not so sure Calvin Johnson is a hands down unanimous selection if both are there at (#3 or #4) which in itself is probably impossible.
